Products and Services

KAIROS develops digital imaging spectrophotometers for determining the fluorescence excitation, fluorescence emission, and absorption spectra for every pixel or feature in a field of view. Targets range in size from one micron to one meter, and can be assayed using visible and near infrared light.

KAIROS technology can be used to analyze and screen a wide variety of colored and fluorescent objects, including molecules, individual cells, microcolonies and tissues. Imaging modes include both time-dependent and spectral domains.

KAIROS has a very active genetic engineering group that is creating new biocatalysts, fluorescent proteins, biopharmaceuticals and diagnostic tools.

In addition, we offer an enzyme evolution service that combines hyperspectral imaging, solid phase screening, and directed evolution. We also offer custom services for microbial identification, as well as biodiversity and natural products screening.

As the result of a highly successful government funding program, KAIROS holds a wealth of intellectual property that validates early dates of conception and supports issued and pending patents. Specific patent information can be found via individual links below.
